The Rocks Below Our Feet—A Geological Tour of Lynchburg
Join creationist paleontologist and geologist Dr. Marcus Ross on this driving tour to discover the geologic setting of Lynchburg, Virginia. You’ll learn about the many types of rocks found in and around the city and lean why our beloved “Hill City” is so hilly! From Candler’s Mountain to the James River, we’ll cover geology, geography, creation, the Flood, and even local architecture!
Cost: $30 per carload ($10 per individual)
Date: Thursday, November 2
Location: Tour begins at 9AM at Cornerstone Educational Supply (515 Alleghany Ave., Lynchburg), and ends at 3PM
Lunch stop at River Ridge Mall (on your own; or can bring a bagged lunch)
